Individual Research contributions to Group Project
Here are my contributions for my group assignment

- Proposed the idea of an Integrated Timetable Software application for SIT, highlighting issues such as last-minute schedule changes and ineffective communication methods. Emphasized the need for a centralized platform that consolidates timetable updates for students, faculty, and administrative staff.
- Played a key role in refining the problem and purpose statement by narrowing down the target users and specifying their pain points. Focused on how students struggle with sudden timetable adjustments, faculty face difficulties in communicating changes, and administrative staff lack an efficient system to manage updates.
- Engaged with the professor by raising specific questions to clarify the assignment scope. Used insights from these discussions to refine the problem statement and ensure the proposed solution aligned with real institutional needs.
- Drafted ChatGPT prompts to assist the team in generating ideas and refining content. Examples. “What are common challenges faced by universities in managing and communicating timetable changes?” “How can an integrated scheduling system improve communication and reduce disruptions in academic institutions?”

- Presented our team's progress and findings to the rest of the class: I took the lead in delivering a presentation that showcased our team's development process, key findings, and next steps. This involved summarising our research outcomes, explaining design choices, and engaging with feedback from both peers and instructors to refine our approach.
- Created UI visuals for the integrated timetable app, suggested the chosen name "TimelySIT": I was responsible for designing the user interface mock-ups for our integrated timetable app, ensuring they were intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with user needs. I also proposed the name "TimelySIT," which was ultimately selected by the team for its relevance and branding potential
- Wrote the methodology for my team's research: I authored the methodology section of our report, clearly outlining the research design, data collection methods, and rationale behind our chosen approach. This provided a strong foundation for the rest of the report and helped ensure our findings were robust and replicable.

- Wrote an outline of a script for my part (introduction): I drafted the introductory portion of our team’s final presentation script, setting the tone for the rest of the presentation. The outline included key talking points, transitions, and framing to ensure a smooth and engaging delivery.
- Created more visuals for the app: In addition to the initial UI mock-ups, I continued to develop and refine additional visual elements for the app, such as screen transitions and feature-specific pages. These helped bring our concept closer to a polished prototype.

- I have added the appendix to the document and ensured that it is properly formatted in accordance with APA 7th edition guidelines. This includes appropriate labeling (e.g., “Appendix A”), clear titling, consistent font and spacing, and correct placement after the reference list. All content within the appendix is relevant and supports the main text, enhancing the overall clarity and professionalism of the paper.
